It may not seem like it but this blog may be older than it is because it’s actually a new/renovated blog from http://brighterthanwhite.com/blog/. The history of the old blog can be tracked down when Jason was in high school. Since the name of “Brighter than White” has been turned into Jason’s business website/portfolio, he had been meaning to make another blog for personal blogging. Nevertheless, he couldn’t really think of a really good name for his new blog. “July to November” doesn’t really have much meaning to it, basically if you take to first latter of these months: July, August, September, October and November, it becomes JASON. Yeah, cheesy right?…

About Jason

Jason Shum is currently enrolled as a university student completing his BBA at the University of Toronto. Although he is studying management and biology, he never forgets his passion for art, design and photography. Before photography he was into art and design, thus you could say the initial driving force was actually to take pictures for painting and design purposes. In late 2009 he received his first DSLR camera, d40x from his father as a gift for which he was and is really grateful.  Since then photography has become a major and consuming interest, bothering on passion. He would learn  that, photography not only  involves artistic elements and vision, but also some science in the involvement of factors that make up the whole perspective such as lightning, space, composition, balance etc. Moreover, photography has given him the means and opportunities to connect with other people and to notice things that are usually overlooked an to explore in world in a sublime dimension.
