Before I got a real macro(micro) lens, I had a lot of fun using the macro converter lens, the Raynox Dcr-250.  A cheaper alternative to a macro lens I suppose, $40 to $60 as opposed to several hundred dollars. It’s basically like putting a magnify class onto your lens and it will fit onto the lenses with diameters from 52mm to 67mm.
